Love the SG-1 image too Ilkka, i'll take them over superheroes any day! :D
The SG-1 caught me by surprise... quite the subliminal message, "Gods are dead. Long live mankind."

Re: Forum stability

I took a snapshot of the site/database and downloaded it to my desktop. I have a VirtualBox setup here that is the same configuration as the server, so going to experiment with it locally until it works correctly.

Forum stability

I tried to upgrade the forum software yesterday, but there appears to be a bug in the upgrade release and it just hung half-way through the process. It crashed the forum for a while, so I had to roll it back to the prior version (now active) from backup. It seems to be working OK... let me know if t...

Chang'e 3 Lunar Lander

Not sure whether to put this here, or in Psi-Phi! change3-lander.jpg It occurs to me that, if this was dropped from orbit, that huge rocket sticking out of the bottom just MIGHT have disturbed the soil underneath when it came down... the feet certainly did. To me, it looks like someone dropped it th...

Re: Properties of mercury?

Without me bringing up the specifics, she seemed to have an immediate sense of the possible risk/danger that such a mirror could bring about, as a type of other-side gateway. She then mentioned that she was very interested in mercury, saying that it had particular shielding properties that would be...

Re: Chatbox

I think I am going to have a chat with my landlords and their kid. For the second time now after the "I am afraid of the ghost"-incident , he went by my door and said my name followed by "...is my friend" to his grandma while walking down the stairs.... Most ghosts associated with children are the ...

A conversation about building a campfire in an office building prompted me to think of this sketch. Very resourceful, I must say:

Senior Citizens

(From a another "senior citizen"... which accurately describes the generational differences): Senior citizens are constantly being criticized for every conceivable deficiency of the modern world, real or imaginary. We know we take responsibility for all we have done and do not blame others. HOWEVER,...

Re: Meditation as an intermediate step

When it happens on a more frequent basis, is it perhaps because I subconsciously want to maintain this angular phase for a longer period? Yes, you were probably fighting the transition, until it got up enough "energy" to make the state change to the other orientation, skipping the middle bits. A "j...

Re: Emotional Trauma -- Blessing or Curse

I'm getting ready to dive into the work of Arthur Schopenhauer, given I've found myself sitting with a worldview that (to my knowledge) is shared at least in part by only one other person, Schopenhauer himself. Hopefully there is still water in the pool, after all these years, or you may be in for ...

Meditation as an intermediate step

What exactly is it with the hypnagogic "missing of a step"? Your body gives an immediate twitch, you are suddenly wide awake and usually forgot what happened. Did my thoughts wander somewhere where they shouldn't or what I am not ready for yet? Or was I just about to step into an abyss without real...

Re: Emotional Trauma -- Blessing or Curse

Not sure if I am missing the point here (imho it's just semantics), but here goes: It is very common in English for someone to propose a question, rather than ask for an answer--which is not a question. For example: "Could you explain that?" not "Please explain that." The answer to the former is, "...

Considering that the members of this forum are all about curiosity, we should be ashamed, myself included, that it needs numerous references to the blue mist ... Coming to this understanding has reinforced my opinion that intuition, at least in the way that I have experienced it over the course of my lifetime is, in its final stage (the 'ah-ha' moment), a THOUGHT (intuitive) function rather than a FEELING (instinctual) function. Your conceptual mapping to l...

I've been extrapolating the concepts in the book into RS2, and cross-referencing with TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine), I found an interesting correlation... the "8 principles" of TCM are coordinates in a unit quaternion (sphere), that lays out something like this: TCM.png Yin-yang ends up being t...

The "dark side" as an organization, known as the Cabal or NWO, chooses ignorance, and advertises and promotes ignorance. ... Are you referring to heaven here as the sky/atmosphere in general, the sun or the Anunnaki Ark? From the text, I get the impression it is referring to the sun or the aether (qi) from the sun/heaven. Perhaps Zuoqian can translate the original Chinese characters into modern context? People translate ...

Consider the current developmental level of the species. Given that most of us are archetypal humans, sharing the same general landscape, many may not feel that they have much of a different landscape to share.

Re: Are People Still Capable of Independent Thought?

I think it has to do with the lethargy caused by the increase of daily EMF exposure, and with that, maybe because our social networks are more digital, people fear more now about being wrong . Given that "everything you know is wrong" to begin with, I guess the real fear of posting something would ...
