Registrations enabled
I have enabled registrations again, with a new CAPTCHA system that will hopefully prevent spambot registrations and spamming. Got my fingers crossed.

One got through already unfortunately, now banned.

Re: Registrations enabled
It seems that people are now breaking captcha systems for the robots... so much for ethics.

Registrations DISABLED
Well, that didn't last long. ReCaptcha v2 has been broken, which was supposed to be "bot proof" as it requires someone move the mouse and check a box on an image. Yet several spammers have made it through in just 1 day, so I've disabled registrations again. I suspect that spammers are now using humans to break captcha systems, as the log shows all the bot registrations were blocked (the ones from invalid IPs).
Not sure what to do now, as you can't block unethical people.

Re: Registrations DISABLED
I would force them to email us to ask nicely for access, then they can go on probation for a while to check they don't start spamming immediately. A few small hoops to jump through will be worth it for real truth seekers and should help prevent bot attacks.
