DNA-Based Data Storage

Post by deepfsh » Tue Jun 14, 2016 4:10 pm

Have you ever imagined storing a computer program, music or your party picture from early 20`s into a plant. Imagine resting in a near park, taking a leaf from a flower and listening to the Rolling Stones directly from it? This sort of “green” information hosting could become a reality.
I learned today about this new kind of technology and thought it might interest the more techy guys here. It seems all those NSA and similar data centers could/have become obsolete.

Well, Kurzweil did say in an interview that, in the future, we are going to send nano robots into space to "wake up the universe". When asked about whether or not be believed God exists, he stated, "I would say, not yet." Ego gone wild much? How proud we must be - a plant becoming a synthetic 'data dump'. Who do we think we are, anyway? Gods?
