I'm experiencing a large quantity
of synchronicity today. When I woke up I checked my phone and saw I had a message from a family member that I never really talk to except in person. She sent me a link to an article entitled "Scientists Prove DNA Can Be Reprogrammed By Our Own Words." I don't know why exactly she sent it to me, but it was appropriate. I had recently fleshed out an article I'm writing called, "The Folly of Chinese Eugenics in Light of Epigenetics and Jurassic Park." These articles are in the same ball park of one another (even though DNA is not altered by mere words.)
I had work today in the country-side of town where there was plenty of trees, wild-life and open space. I had my music application, Pandora, playing while I worked. When I was finished, I packed up and turned off the music, I noticed, 2 minutes and 22 seconds into the song. I also noticed at that time that my brother had sent me a message regarding a show he watched on Hulu called "Catch 22." All of this occurred at 1:22 PM. I'm not really surprised these days by numerical synchronicities, but I was impressed -- that is a lot of 2's to be seeing at the same time, and from different means (song time, message and clock time.)
I was loading my gear into my work truck and a song from a favorite movie of mine, O Brother, Where Art Thou?
was playing in my head.
Being out in the country, I can see why that song would pop into my head. The environment inspired it. Leaving, I took an alternate route than the way I had originally arrived. I passed a lone cow standing at the top of a small, but sharp-steeped hill. In the movie, the protagonist receives a prophecy from a blind man:
Blind Seer wrote:You seek a great fortune, you three who are now in chains. You will find a fortune, though it will not be the one you seek. But first... first you must travel a long and difficult road, a road fraught with peril. Mm-hmm. You shall see thangs, wonderful to tell. You shall see a... a cow... on the roof of a cotton house, ha.
He does see the cow atop a cotton house at the end of the movie, despite the improbability.
The nature of prophecy, faith and God does seem to defy all sense of probability. Spiritual motifs are masterfully woven in the movie, so this is not just an example of fictitious wish fulfillment to "prove" there is another realm that can be perceived. And for me to see something so similar just minutes after having that song pop into my head was significant and curious.
To put a metaphysical cherry on top, as I was driving and pondering the number and nature of synchonicity I was experiencing, I passed a garbage truck branded Asplundh. As I saw it, I remembered that yesterday that name had randomly popped into my head. I found the name somewhat humorous to me to say, but I couldn't remember what it represented. These trucks are not common for me to see.
It was just another instance of something passing through my mind
that I would be seeing in 3D space in the near future. I wonder what this sense is waking me up to.
Here is the rest of the Blind Seer's prophecy.
And, oh, so many startlements. I cannot tell you how long this road shall be, but fear not the obstacles in your path, for fate has vouchsafed your reward. Though the road may wind, yea, your hearts grow weary, still shall ye follow them, even unto your salvation.
The word Salvation is what's sticking out to me. In these days nearing Apocalypse or what I perceive as The Great Divide (fourth density separation?) Salvation or Hellfire is an appropriate thing to ponder, given the high-stakes and climactic feeling humanity is in. Recently-dubbed Clown World
cannot go on forever.
What exactly is worth saving in humanity? I look to myself and think, because I see that there is more to life than the material that needs to be discovered and explored. It's the spirit of curiosity, discovery, wonder, and hope that can deliver any existence beyond the base animal and STS existence -- the slave's existence.
The numerological meaning of 2222 basically represents balance and faith. While I don't believe in the theological God, the word God still holds a place in me. Yesterday I asked myself (or my brain or my reactive mind or unconscious,) "what bad agreements have I made that is stopping me from being able to move things with my mind?" The response I heard was: "Two-fold. One, your relationship with God. Two, your relationship with yourself." I explored those agreements and refreshed them with better, conscious agreements. After all, the wizard who does nothing to the world in or around him essentially agrees with both.
Given the improbability of all those synchronicities I experienced in a matter of ten minutes or so, there may be power in the nature of an agreement. This idea is similar to -daniels explanation in Part 3 of his Anthropology series of life being like a qi-powered holodeck for the unconscious to project itself, but upon realizing it is a holodeck, says "End program" and converts the Qi into Shen. Something responded to the new agreements. Whether that has to do with an Ultimate Consciousness that could be named God that wrote up the synchronistic sequence to get me to believe in Him or if God is the effect an agreement has on space and time, or perhaps a mixture of both, is something to be explored.
