When I read stories, I create the "movie version" in my head as I read along.
As cheezy as some think Robert Ludlum, I can vividly remember creating the movies in my head as I read his "Bourne" books.

Asimov's Foundation series too.

Actually, many more, now that I think about it.

When I was a kid, it was 95% reading and 5% B&W video (broadcast TV--3 channels), a few hours a week. Now it is 99% video.

Planetary Electric Discharge

All the talk about geologic events, and lightening reminded me of some Electric Universe stuff that I read a while back... maybe Saturn Theory or some such. Anyway, I seem to remember part of the thesis was that at one time Saturn was so close that electric discharges were generated between it and e...

Re: Are People Still Capable of Independent Thought?

What's proof is that danny's knowledge in the area would go to waste should he ascend and we'd have to carve our own paths. Though I am definitely on the path of success, it would take longer without the headmaster's faith and assistance. I wholeheartedly concur; and I don't need to expand upon it.

Re: Are People Still Capable of Independent Thought?

Someone, please explain it to me. My ideas are: 1.Education system's change. After the information explosion, the younger generation study a lot more new information but less deep understanding of the classic knowledge to gain a thorough understanding of the topic of the discussion. 2. Life style c...

For example, a turkey is capable of flying because it has wings, but does not.
Nitpicking, I know...

Wild turkeys can, and do fly - though a bit ungainly. I believe domesticated (farmed for food) turkeys, although they obviously do have wings, cannot fly.

Witnessed the interaction of my wife and her [PhD candidate] friend recently... holy hell, both so obviously controlled by the [mainstream] media. Fear, fear, and more fear... the firearms bullshit dramas and the brown-skinned horseshit stories appear to be working.

One of my favorite series - and authors. "Heliconian Twister"... very similar to some of the stuff I practice.

At the very least (IIRC), that material contains an understanding that people are their own worst enemies and that the primary focus should be one becoming a complete person before trying to do anything else. I agree with this. I am still bothered by the difficulty this entails; it actually seems a...

A bit of a ghost town now, if I recall correctly.

I grew up several miles from where I now reside... a different suburb.

Me, my brothers , and friends, would seek out the regular storms - bike riding and whatnot... even our early camping (in the midwest) had many storms. I almost got actually blown off my bike twice this year.

I think that other than Star Trek (Jean_Luc Picard), and maybe a few Stargate episodes, this is the first real agreement that we have - on TV or Movies. I'm sure there are others, but that truly unbearable sci-fi series you always quote is in complete contrast. Anyway, I enjoyed this series very muc...

But atomic explosions were recent enough for the human unconscious to retain a memory of them, and that is what the NWO may be trying to use to their advantage by faking the situation. Good day all, I just finished reading 2150 AD. I agree with the macrophilosophy of the 2150 age; I also agree with the microphilosophy of 1976. Maybe more importantly, I reject the supposition that "we are one" whilst dwelling here in 2016 (micro). I believe that, by design, I am indeed an individua...
