Forum stability

Post by LoneBear » Tue Jan 09, 2018 11:46 am

I tried to upgrade the forum software yesterday, but there appears to be a bug in the upgrade release and it just hung half-way through the process. It crashed the forum for a while, so I had to roll it back to the prior version (now active) from backup. It seems to be working OK... let me know if there is a problem.

I have held off on upgrading the ConsciousHugs and RS2 fora for the moment.

Thanks for the update, yeah probably a good idea to hold off upgrading the others too for now, sounds like they still have some bugs to work out for the new version. Did you remove the blank config file after unzipping?

The post below has two known issues relating to the user styles, in case this helps?

I took a snapshot of the site/database and downloaded it to my desktop. I have a VirtualBox setup here that is the same configuration as the server, so going to experiment with it locally until it works correctly.
