Lol, I was hopping on here to post the same thing. They are "confirming" it as an ICBM spinning out of control from a Russian sub. Looks to be a bit more like a sub-light engine test; not sure whether that would be considered a failure or a success though...

Aren't all ICBM rocket tests "sub-light" engine tests?

Yes, you're being a bit too pedantic though; my reference was to the "sub-light" engines of Star Trek that are capable of reaching near the speed of light - of which ICBM rockets are not capable.

Why do you not believe that it was actually an ICBM rocket test, but rather a sub-light engine test related to Star Trek?

I never said I did or did not believe it to be an ICBM test. My thought was conjecture, nothing more; the better question is why you are caring about what I think.
