Sci-Fi Author: Jack McDevitt

Post by GhostCat » Thu Apr 13, 2006 11:47 am

Has anybody else here ever read Jack McDevitt's work? I got sucked into Chindi and have since read everything else I can find of his... He writes in the Sci-Fi genre, but more about human nature and "what if" history than space battles. Sort of sci-fi archeology. I think students of the human condition would enjoy his work.

He doesn't offer a symbol set like Babylon 5, Stargate, Narnia, Harry Potter or others, but for the metaphysically oriented person trying to understand "human" ... well, he's good. I'll leave it at that.
