In the time since I've known this forum, I've already looked at the individual topics in all categories, but I still haven't read all the comments (especially in the multi-page threads). As my time allows, I'm working my way through - I've made a bookmark register especially for this - and I'm thankful that I can read on the many topics (and with the various comments). A lot of it brought and brings me memories and links, but a lot also animates me to new reflections - which naturally raises new questions again.
To what extent is it appropriate to comment on or ask questions about older contributions (several years, e.g. from 2013 and older)? Or is that rather not desired, because possibly explanatory hints "hide" in other contributions? (I can understand that chewing on a topic several times can be annoying.)

Re: question of principle
IMHO, you should continue an existing topic when possible, as it keeps a better flow of information.Carlos wrote: ↑Thu Nov 01, 2018 2:15 pmTo what extent is it appropriate to comment on or ask questions about older contributions (several years, e.g. from 2013 and older)? "In My Honest Opinion"
I like to use just IMO without "honest", because that goes without saying for me atleast.

Re: question of principle
I always translated it as "In My Humble Opinion."
And no problem bringing old posts back to life. It is good to be reminded of how we thought and grew from past experiences.

Re: question of principle
I am also familiar with this form of expression.
Thank you, I will come back to that when I have the opportunity.
